Reino UnidoThe british Journal of Photography Annual is the oldest publication of its kind in the world. It first appeared in the from of a wall calendar for the year 1860 and was issued as a supplement to “The British Journal of Photography” of December 15, 1859. A fascimile was published in the 1969 edition.
For the first five years after its inception,1861-65, The British Jounal Photographic Almanac, ac it was then known, was 4x 2 1/2 inches in size and it was issued free of charge to the Journal.
The 1886 insue was produced with a crown 8vo format and was sold as a separate publication, This format remained unchanged for 97 years until the 1964 issue, when the present format was adopted.
